An increasing number of undergraduate policy majors at Tech have become interested in graduate school in public health. Several have gone on to masters-level programs, and some BSPP graduates have applied to medical school after obtaining experience in public health.
The Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University invites students to an event: “Destination Public Health: Locally, Nationally, Globally,” to be held on Saturday, September 12, 2009. This event will explore the disciplines within public health, as well as introduce college students and health career advisors to renowned public health professionals and representatives from a variety of public health agencies in the Atlanta area. Our website is the resource for information on this event: http://www.sph.emory.edu/prospectiveStudents/openHouse/index.php
If you’re considering a health career or graduate study in the area, you should take advantage of this opportunity. Please note that preregistration for this event is required, and the deadline is September 4, 2009.
This event is brought to you by the Office of Admissions at the Rollins School of Public Health of Emory University and is made possible by funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in conjunction with the Association of Schools of Public Health and the Association of Public Health Laboratories.
