Kevin Widmaier graduated with a BS in Public Policy (minor in economics) in May 2009. He now is Director of Permitting & Carbon Services for Allied Energy Services.
Prior to joining Allied Energy Services, Kevin worked in the Governor’s Office of Policy and for the Governor’s Education Finance Task Force. At Georgia Tech, his academic work included areas of economic development and environmental policy. He was also named Mr. Georgia Tech for his service and leadership within the Georgia Tech community. Kevin currently serves as a member of the Georgia Tech Young Alumni Council.
While at AES, Kevin has worked on matters of government and community relations for the POWER4Georgians’ Plant Washington project. Furthermore, he is responsible for researching proposed legislation at the State and Federal level, and evaluating its impact on clients of AES. Kevin is also responsible for the policy research and business development of AES’ Climate Change & Carbon Solutions practice, as well as some of AES’ renewable energy projects.
