The Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget is seeking two interns to begin work in early January. These interns will assist the OPB staff in analyzing the fiscal impact of legislation being heard by the Georgia General Assembly. Interns will work in a fast-paced environment and enjoy many opportunities to learn more about politics, state government and the legislative process.
Graduate students or recent graduates are preferred and all majors are encouraged to apply. Interns will receive an hourly stipend based upon their education level. Interns are required to work 20 to 40 hours per week and will begin as soon as possible.

Points of Light Institute (www.pointsoflight.org), is the largest national volunteer service and civic engagement network in the country. Points of Light Institute is looking for one or two graduate interns to help with policy analysis related to federal government policy on volunteer service and civic engagement. We’re looking for students who are passionate about technology, and want to spend the summer diving headfirst into Internet policy. Students from all majors and degree programs who posses the following qualities are encouraged to apply:
* Demonstrated or stated commitment to Internet and technology policy
* Excellent academic record, professional/extracurricular/volunteer activities, subject matter expertise
* First-rate analytical, communications, research, and writing skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently, and to work smartly and resourcefully in a fast-paced environment
Fellows will receive a stipend of $7,000 for 10 weeks during the summer of 2010 (June-August). Exact dates of the fellowship will be worked out by the fellow and host organization.
