The Tisdale Fellowship http://www.tfas.org/Page.aspx?pid=1516 is designed for outstanding graduate and undergraduate students who are interested in technology and public policy. Undergraduates must be in either their junior or senior year. The selection committee will be looking for students with a concrete record of academic achievement and civic mindedness (community activities or organization). A background in computer science or other high- technology fields is helpful but not required.

Secretary of State Karen Handel is pleased to announce several internship opportunities that are now available in the Office of Secretary of State. Internship positions are offered with the:
· Capitol Museum
· Capitol Tours
· Elections Division
· Front Office
· Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission
· Legal Affairs
· Press Office
· Professional Licensing Board
· Securities Division
Internships for the fall session will begin Monday, August 18, 2008, and last approximately 17 weeks. Interns can apply for full-time or part-time positions. Each intern will have a variety of responsibilities, and the office he or she works with will aim to assign projects that relate to his or her field of study. Interns will receive a stipend.
These opportunities are available to juniors, seniors, and graduate students who are currently enrolled in a Georgia college, university, or accredited law school, or are Georgia residents. The student must have an overall grade point average of 2.75.
Interested students must submit an application and a resume. Applications and resumes must be received by Sunday, June 16, 2007.
