Technology Association of Georgia Spring Internship


The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) is seeking a student intern for the Spring 2010 semester. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a keen interest in public policy and the legislative process. The selected candidate will report directly to TAG’s Director of Government Relations. PLEASE NOTE: The internship will be an unpaid position; however, TAG strongly encourages students to pursue course credit.  Cheryl Leggon in PUBP can help you set this up if selected.

Job Responsibilities:

Work a minimum of 20 hours per week through Spring semester 2010

Attend committee hearings and meetings of the Georgia General Assembly at the State Capitol

Conduct detailed policy research and analysis, relevant to the technology industry

Maintain state bill tracking and provide communication updates to members

Assist with data collection and upkeep of reference materials

Aid in the coordination of grassroots/advocacy efforts

Provide assistance in outreach to federal and state elected officials

Support the Director of Government Relations with execution of legislative strategic plans Continue reading
